Tell us something about this design.
Inspired by the fantastic Netflix TV series Stranger Things and the awesome song by The Clash. This typography design has become a cult classic for my followers across social media.
Who is and where does Retro Review come from?
A small coal mining town in Yorskhire.
How long have you been in the t-shirt world?
I have been doing this for a few years now and built up a great fanbase around the world.
What would you suggest to an aspiring t-shirt designer?
Here are my top tips for shirt designers.
What’s a day in the life of Retro Review like?
Design, Eat, Game, Design, Sleep… Repeat
Mac or PC?
PC all the way! You get more for your money and with me working in marketing Apple struggle to sell things to me on a brand name alone.
Post-apocalyptic world. No trace of human race. It happens that you’ve survived and managed to save…
3 tv-series: Walking dead, Game of Thrones and Stranger Things.
3 movies: Aliens, Braveheart, Lord of the Rings.
3 videogames: All of them! This is like asking a mother to choose between their children.
3 cds: Queen – Kinda Magic, Pink Floyd – Darkside of the Moon, Iron Maiden Best of.
3 books: Green Eggs & Ham – Dr Seuss, Walking Dead Compendium, “How to survive a post-apocalyptic world with no trace of the human race with only the items I managed to salvage” by Retro Review.
One t-shirt: I bought a cool shirt from Threadless a few years ago with a beer with a skull coming out of the foam on top. No idea why but it’s my favourite post-apocalyptic shirt.
You are the governor of the world. What’s the first thing you would do?
Call Arnold Schwarzenegger and ask him if he wanted to help me.
You’ve just won a DeLorean time machine. Which historic period/time/moment would you like to visit?
What sort of competition did I enter to win this? It seems like possibly the worst idea for a contest to give away a prize that could change the whole earth/time continuum and tear apart the fabric of life as we know it. I would probably go into the future a few hundred years just to buy a hoverboard.
