I wanted to make a design inspired by Victorianera product labels and signs!
Who is and where does Josh come from?
I’m just a regular guy who loves music, art, and video games. Born and raised on the prairies of Canada.
How long have you been in the tshirt world?
I submitted my very first design back in October, 2008!
What would you suggest to an aspiring tshirt designer?
Don’t rush a design. Take the time you need to make it the way you want. What helps is to plan it out, maybe with a quick sketch, so you don’t have to work from your mind’s eye all the time. Visual references are extremely helpful.
What’s a day in the life of Josh like?
Typically pretty uneventful! Work and then chilling out at home, either gaming or a combo of Netflix/designing. Toss in some practices with my band, Legends, or hanging out with friends. A generally relaxed life! Haha.
Mac or PC?
The Mac/PC wars are ridiculous now. I used Macs in school and they were awesome. I only prefer PC because I can get something powerful and affordable, where a Mac of the same price would probably be more entry level. So PC, even if it doesn’t last as long as a Mac. For graphic software, they’re pretty much equal these days. Ultimately it’s just preference!

3 tvseries: The Office, Parks and Recreation, Man vs Wild (I mean I have to learn how to survive somehow).
3 movies: Napoleon Dynamite, The Thing, Prometheus (talk to the hand, haters).
3 videogames: Earthbound (SNES), Bloodborne (PS4), Fallout 3 (sorry, 4. PS4)
3 cds: (this is tough) MuteMath “Vitals”, Radiohead “In Rainbows”, Bon Iver “Bon Iver”.
3 books: Wasteland Survival Guide ;), The Complete Works of H.P. Lovecraft, and the Holy Bible, yo! That’s a broad variety, I know, haha.
One t-shirt: just a plain black one so sweat stains don’t show. I still need to look somewhat decent.

Get Superman to toss all the nuclear warheads into the sun.
